Join us in discovering the hidden world all around us!
Over the course of eight sessions, participants will learn about how interactions between microorganisms form the invisible microbiomes that influence the macrobiomes of our bodies and our environment. Specific avenues of exploration and activities include:
- Discuss microbiota and their theatre of activity
- Discuss how dysbiosis leads to infectious diseases and pathogenicity
- Explore tools that are used to assess biomes
What students can expect
Each participant will be assigned a subtopic to research independently. They will be asked to distill their findings into a presentation which they'll then deliver to their peers during class.
